RECENT PORTUGUESE PUBLICATIONS

We shall attempt to supply any book in print published in Portugal.

Prices quoted in our on-line inventory for recent Portuguese publications are subject to change without notice, due to the vagaries of Portuguese publishers and the exchange rate.

SHIPPING FROM LISBON

There was another negative change in Portuguese postal regulations in early September, 2014. The least expensive secure method for shipping most parcels, registered mail, “económico”, no longer exists. In order to register a parcel, it must be shipped Airmail. Thus registered shipments of more than 4 and up to 5 kilograms to most parts of the world will now cost US$85.00. Packages weighing between 5 and 30 kilograms can be sent as “encomendas”, also via airmail. One should allow a week to ten days for arrival in the Western Hemisphere, East Asia or Australia. Shipments within Europe are somewhat less expensive. Due to grave problems with the Brazilian postal service and postal customs, shipments to Brazil via the post office are not recommended, and anything shipped to Brazil other than by UPS, FedEx or DHL is sent at the recipient’s risk.

We regret that we must impose a minimum shipping charge of US$20.00 for any package originating from Portugal.
