The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Luís Filipe
F.R. Thomaz. Following the meticulous critical study by
Pereira is a facsimile reprint of the manuscript,
previously unpublished, the original of which is in the
Biblioteca da Marinha, Rio de Janeiro.
