Important work. The present version contains significant revisions and additions not available in the previously published texts. According to the author's preface to the present edition, this work was originally published as Preservation of Archives in Tropical Climates in 2001 by the International Council on Archives (Paris), the National Archives of Indonesia (Jakarta) and the National Archives of The Netherlands (The Hague). He states that the text appeared shortly afterwards in a slightly revised form in Comma, International Journal on Archives, 2001, issues 3-4.
