of Paradise
Lost, Ondjaki, and
“Um olhar sobre a obra de Manuel Tiago / Álvaro Cunhal”. A
section of “Traduções” follows with translations of works
by Isabelle Eberhart, Dino Compana, and Guy de Maupassant.
A section called “Dossier” contains six essays on the art
of translation, three in French, three in Portuguese. The
final section, “Escrita criativa”, has six contributions,
four are original works in Portuguese, one, “Il mare, il
mare” by Rita Ciotta Neves, has been translated from the
Italian into Portuguese by Raquel Andrade, with the Italian
and Portuguese versions on facing pages. “Entre as Junturas
dos ossos: excerícios de auto-tradução poética” by Vera
Lúcia de Oliveira, contains the author’s original
Portuguese poems side by side with her own translations
into Italian.
