Octavio,
a Latin Christian apology in dialogue form, was written in
all probability between the middle of the second and third
centuries, by one of the earliest and most pleasing of the
Latin Christian apologists. The editor's introductory
materials are extensive (pp. 13-78). His Portuguese
translation is on facing pages with the critically
annotated Latin text (pp. 80-171).
