Classic
work, first published Porto: Livraria Fernando Machado,
1943-1948. Each of the six volumes contains two tomos bound
together, but the pagination is continuous. The author, who
obtained a degree in civil law from Coimbra University,
held numerous judicial and other official posts, was a
member of the Academia dos Generosos, poet, and a highly
regarded genealogist. He is said to have possessed a good
