First edition published in Portugal. Contains 21 illustrations by Portinari, and 21 glosas by Drummond de Andrade. The original works of art were sold after the artist's death by his son to Raymundo Ottoni de Castro Maya. The texts by Cervantes which inspired the artist were organized by Lucía Olinto. They were translated into Portuguese by Miguel Serras Pereira. According to the publisher, this is the work listed in their catalogue as Poemas sobre Dom Quixote.
