a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, published a

R. (2004) in
Brazil. He has contributed to various anthologies of poems
since 1989, and has written a column for the
newspaper Correio
popular. At the time
this volume appeared he was living in Campinhas, São Paulo.

Born
Porto, 1975, the author was a doctoral candidate in
twentieth-century Portuguese literature at the Faculdade de
Letras of the Universidade do Porto. At the time this book
appeared he was docente de literatura portuguesa at the
same Faculdade. He has published three previous plays, and
two novels; his essays have appeared in literary reviews
such as Relâmpago,
Ciberkiosk,
Jornal de
Letras,
A
phala, and
Século de
ouro. Various
theatrical pieces by him have been performed in Porto,
Coimbra, Bratislava, Nice and Solonica.

Residency of the Royal Court Theatre, London. In 2004 he
received the scholarship "Criar Lusofonia" from the Centro
Nacional de Cultura, which was used to write
Círio dos
salvados.

Born
Evora, 1966, the playwright, essayist, songwriter Armando
Nascimento Rosa has had seven books published, the majority
of which were theatrical pieces. His Lianor no
pais sem pilhas (2001) was
awarded the Prémio Revelação Ribeiro da Fonte, 2000. At the
time this volume appeared he was teaching the theory and
aesthetics of theatrical writing at the Escola Superior de
Teatro e Cinema do Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa.
