In addition to those mentioned above, there are texts by Filipe Oliveira Dias, Filipe la Féria, Helder Pacheco, Ivo Cruz, Júlio Resendo, Nadir Afonso, and eighteen others. The English translation is a bit awkward in places, but can be understood without reverting to the original Portuguese.

The painter Naguib Elias Abdula was born in Tete, Moçambique, 1955. He received a degree in Civil Engineering in Maputo, later working at the Sociedade de Belas Artes, Lisbon, the Serigrafia Artística Gigante at the University of Cape Town, the Kunst Museum in Cologne, where he studied conservation and restoration of works of art, as well as the Department of Visual and Performing Arts of the University of Northumbria. His artistic career began in 1975, the year of Moçambique's independence; over 29 years he has taken part in around 100 collective exhibitions and 11 individual ones. Naguib is represented in the collection of the Museu Nacional de Arte, Maputo, the Parliament of Moçambique, in the country's presidential palace, and in ministries and other national institutions. Outside of Moçambique his work is in the Vatican, the Portuguese parliament, the Museu da República e Resistência (Portugal), the Ford Foundation (U.S.A.), headquarters of the P.S.D. (Sweden), the University of Trieste, Matombo Gallery (Zimbabwe), the Headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Geneva, and several private collections. In addition to the authors mentioned above, there are texts by Alda Costa, Ulisses Gomes Oviedo, and Luís Carlos Patraquim. The English translation is comprehensible, if a bit stiff.
