April 2005. Barca Velha is one of the best red wines, some
would say THE best, produced in Portugal. It can be, if
properly stored, more or less in a class with Chateau
Latour or Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Unfortunately, and
typical of how these things are today in Portugal, it is
more expensive than Chateau Latour or Chateau Mouton
Rothschild.
